Sodium hypo chlorite is a root canal irrigant. It dissolves necrotic tissue and the organic components from pulp chamber. Using sodium hypo chlorite in concentration between 1% to 5.25% for irrigation of root canal is accepted, for debritment, cleansing and disinfecting root canal.

  • It dissolves necrotic tissue and the organic components from pulp chamber. Using sodium hypochlorite in concentration between 1% to 5.25% for irrigation of root canal is accepted, for debritment, cleansing and disinfecting root canal
  • Sodium Hypochlorite is effective against bacteria
  • Sodium Hypochlorite can kill vegetative bacteria, spores, fungi, protozoan and viruses

INDICATION: Sodium hypochlorite is a root canal irrigant. It dissolves necrotic tissue and the organic components from pulp chamber.

Concentration between 1 to 5.25 for irrigation of the root canal is accepted for debritment, cleansing and disinfecting the root canal.

CONTRAINDICATION: In rare cases (delayed and long term) product may cause hypersensitivity or allergy in some people. If such reactions are experienced, discontinue use of the product and refer to physician.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE:

Draw up of volume of 5ml of liquid into a plastic syringe. Then insert endo needle firmly secure to plastic syringe. Introduce needle into the coronal part of pulp chamber and squirt liquid to wash out debris. Continue until pulp chamber and root canals are washed clean and there are no visible bits of debris. Endowash is especially effective with endofree gel to facilitate, for preparation of root canal. Finally drying can be done by paper point prior to obturation.

CAUTIONS:

The solution should be stored in a dark/light proof opaque glass for a long shelf life.

Do not use after the expiry date.

Never use the metallic containers because sodium hypochlorite reacts with metal.

It is corrosive, do not use near flames.

Avoid contact with eyes, if contact occurs wash immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary.

The shelf life may reduce by exposure to light, open container, presence of metallic ions, temperature and higher concentration.

STORAGE: Store in a cool and dark place.

Keep away from heat and direct light.

Endofree Gel

Chelating agent to free up allow easy reaming, filling and cleaning of root canals EDTA 15-17% Bubbles effectively with hypochlorite Easily rinsed away, leaving no residue

ENDOFREE GEL – Chelating gel use to free up and allow easy reaming, filing and cleansing of root canals.
EDTA 15 -17 %
Removes Inorganic Smear Layer from canal and orifice.
On irrigation by Soidum Hypochlorite, endofree gel will bubble by release of oxygen. This in turn lifts debris from canals to be extruded.

Gel also lubricates canal to make reaming and filing easy for a gliding result

  • Fine Flow of gel
  • Easy for file lubrication
  • Bubbles Effectively with Hypochlorite
  • Easily rinsed away
  • No residue

Endofree Gel is a chelating agent and lubricant used to free up and allow easy reaming, filling and cleansing of root canals.

Composition: Edta, Caramide peroxide

On irrigation by sodium hypo chlorite solution the gel will bubble up through release of oxygen and this helps to lift debris from prepared root canal. The gel also lubricates root canal to allow easier shaping of root canals with reamers and files. Some useful bleaching of tooth also takes place.

SPILLAGES: If spilled on to skin wash with soap and water. If spilled into eyes then wash thoroughly with water. Gel is supplied in syringe. To use squeeze small quantity on to mixing pad and apply to root canal with instruments.

METHOD: Open cavity and remove pulp tissue from pulp chamber and proceed and make good access to root canals. Wash debris from cavity using sodium hypochlorite solution.

Dispense Endofree RC onto mixing pad. Smear lentulo or reamer with the gel and continue with preparation of root canals. Bubble of oxygen will be given due to breakdown of peroxide with the solution. This helps to lift off debris and pulp tissue from pulp chamber and root canals.

Initially, the root canals should be prepared half way down by using reamers and files covered Endofreee gel and then irrigate with Sodium hypochlorite solution.

Next, prepare canals to within 1 mm of apex using file instruments smeared with Endofree and canals irrigated by Sodium hypochlorite.

Endofee should be used for the first two or 3 sizes (15-30).

Wash root canals with Hypochlorite until no bubbles appears.

Dry canals and obdurate with gp points and careseal.

STORAGE: Endofree is a gel.

Please store unopened in fridge however, once opened then store at room temperature. Higher temperature will lower viscosity of gel.
