PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: This is a light cure resin base material with fast setting characteristics for filling and sealing of fissures and pits. Its contains fluoride fillers.
INDICATION:
- Sealing/filling pits and fissures.
- Restoring small cavities
- Filling cracks in enamel, composite or cement fillings
- For anchoring orthodontic appliances.
- Restoring small defects in composite and amalgam fillings
- Sealing cracks in deciduous teeth
This material can also be used for the restoration of all anterior and posterior class III, V, IV, II and I cavities.
CONTRAINDICATION: In rare cases (delayed and long term) product may cause hypersensitivity or allergy in some people. If such reactions are experienced, discontinue use of the product and refer to physician.
Product is an adhesive and contains Acrylates; if an allergy develops discontinue use.
IN ACCORDANCE WITH DIN EN ISO 6874
DIRECTION: Polish tooth with oil-free paste. Isolate tooth with rubber dam or cotton wool balls. Dry tooth thoroughly, making sure pits and fissures are clean and free from debris. If pits and fissures are sticky then using an inverted cone bur to remove pits and fissures without going into dentine. If there is a dental decay then conventional restoration is need.
ETCHING: Apply etching gel (blue colour for control), work in with a short-haired disposable brush and let act for 15 - 30 s according to the condition of the enamel. Thoroughly rinse and dry. The etched enamel should have an opaque and matt-white appearance. Avoid subsequent contamination. Please refer also to the etching gel instructions for use.
APPLICATION: Using a brush apply the gel to pits and fissures and allow to stand for 30 seconds, or apply directly from syringe using a long plastic tip.
The gel should be applied with a gentle wiping action.
Ensure that the application tip is securely locked into the syringe.
By gentle pressing extrude the gel directly on to the tooth. Remove any air bubbles (e.g. with a fine probe).
SYRINGE APPLICATION:
Remove the protective cap from the syringe. Place a new application tip on the First Seal F syringe. To avoid air bubbles, hold the syringe vertically and press the material up to the tip of the application tip.
First Seal F homogeneously flows from the application tip upon light to medium pressure. In order to ensure the functioning of the non-dripping syringe do not pull back the plunger during or after use.
LIGHT-CURING:
Polymerise First Seal F for 20 sec per surface and check the sealing. To light-cure this material conventional polymerisation devices are suited. The light output should be a minimum of 500 mW/cm2 on halogen poly-merisation devices and 300 mW/cm2 on LED devices.
Re-seal deficit areas, remove excess cautiously (e. g. finishing diamond) and polish if necessary (rubber polisher). Finally apply a fluoride varnish on the treated and neighbouring, preferably on all teeth.
Application of First Seal F as restorative material (secondary use):Dispense the required amount of material directly to fill the prepared cavity. The application tip is used which is provided along with the syringe in the pack for proper dispensing at the right place and in right amount. Take care to fill from base upward avoiding any void. Fill in the increment of 3mm and light cure before adding the next layer. Apply controlled pressure to dispense the material. If allergy incur discontinue use and consult heath professional.
ADVICE AND PRECAUTIONARY MEASURES: Attach supplied applicator tip. Make sure it is inserted fully and then turned to lock the application tip; check the application tip is securely attached by pulling it. Always extrude small amount of paste to ensure it is not blocked and to make sure it flows easily.
After use, remove applicator tip and discard immediately and always replace the cap.
Do not store used applicator tip with syringe for reason of cross contamination.
To reduce dispensing of excess material after use slightly pull back the syringe piston. Wash tooth surface with water and dry tooth until chalky or frosty surface seen. If not observed then apply conditioner again for a further 20 seconds
Dispense a drop of first seal onto mixing pad.
Using a new brush apply the resin to pits and fissures.
Make sure to brush resin deep into fissures and pits.
Light cure with LC gun by holding close to resin surface for 20 seconds per surface.
Check the sealant has set by pressing with a probe.
Set for light cure for longer if necessary.
Remove surface oxygen inhibited layer with cotton bud.
Check bite and occlusion with articulating paper and relieve as necessary if it is high on bite.
Adjust with stone if necessary.
CAUTION:
Contain acrylic phosphates and other organic acids.
It may cause burns if spilled on mucous, skin or eyes. Always protect patients' eyes whilst using this product. Do not inhale or ingest. If inhalation occurs, seek medical advice immediately. And if ingestion occurs, rinse mouth with water and drink plenty of water and seek medical advice if necessary. Avoid contact with eyes/skin. If contact occurs, wash with plenty of water or use eye-washer to wash eyes and seek medical advice if necessary.
